How do I choose the right motorbike for me?
Choose based on your experience level, purpose (commuting, touring, sport), and budget. Beginners should start with a lower engine capacity for easier control, then work their way up as they gain confidence and experience. Our team at Yamaha By Tan Wei can also walk you through the lineup in person to help match a bike to your needs.
What documents are required to purchase a motorbike?
You'll need a valid NRIC or passport, and a valid motorcycle licence for the class you're purchasing (Class 2B, 2A, or 2). If you're financing, you'll also need proof of income and proof of address. Our sales team can guide you through the full checklist when you visit.
How often should I service my motorbike?
Most motorbikes should be serviced every 3,000–5,000 km, or as recommended in your owner's manual — whichever comes first. All new Yamahas from Tan Wei Motorcycles come with 2 complimentary servicing packages, claimable at 1,000km and 3,000km.
What warranty comes with a new Yamaha?
Every new Yamaha comes with a 1-year Agent Warranty and a 2-year Extended Workshop Warranty (bikes bought directly from Tan Wei Motorcycles). Full terms are on our Warranty page.
Where can I service my Yamaha?
All servicing is carried out at our partner workshop, Ban Hock Hin Co Pte Ltd (BHH), at either of the following locations:
- Defu: 8 Defu South Street 1, #04-28, JTC Defu Industrial City, Singapore 533758
- Carros: 60 Jalan Lam Huat, #01-03/04, Carros Centre, Singapore 737869

Can I finance my motorcycle purchase?
Yes. We work with financing partners to help make ownership more accessible. Use our Finance Calculator to estimate your monthly instalments, and our sales team can walk you through the full application.
Can I test ride a motorcycle before buying?
Yes, test rides are available for selected models at our showroom, subject to holding a valid licence for the relevant motorcycle class. Drop by Carros Centre or contact us to arrange a time.
Do you accept trade-ins?
Yes, we offer trade-in assistance if you're upgrading from an existing motorcycle. Speak to our sales team for a valuation.
